COP HURT WHILE TRYING TO STOP RECKLESS BIKER
A Sioux Falls Police Officer who tried to stop a reckless motorcyclist was slightly injured Wednesday evening.
The motorcyclist was tearing around a parking lot at 10th and Franklin.
The cop got in front of the bike and the driver hit the throttle.
Netfa Tristan Gay, 38, from Pembroke Pines, Florida is in jail on aggravated assault, reckless driving, resisting arrest, and firearms charges.
Gay had a handgun that had been stolen earlier in an unlocked car with keys in it.
Officer Sam Clemens said the officer had some scrapes from the incident.
ALERT CLERK SPOTS FUNNY $100 BILL
Police say an alert clerk at a Sioux Falls casino spotted a fake $100 bill.
The incident occurred in the 5400 block of West 41st Street.
Officer Sam Clemens says the clerk observed the safety features in the bill and determined it was counterfeit.
The Sioux Falls Police have not yet found the person passing the funny money.
AND THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFTS CONTINUE
The theft of catalytic converters from vehicles continues in Sioux Falls.
The police report another theft Wednesday and one that occurred over the weekend.
