SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — A weapons violation has produced nearly two more years in federal prison for a 25-year old man. Omot Karlo was in a vehicle being pursued by Sioux Falls police in 2024. When it went into a ditch Karlo fled on foot, discarding a firearm in the process. He was prohibited from having firearms because of a previous felony. The arrest was part of efforts to repel illegal immigration and eliminate cartels.
