SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Officer Sam Clemens had quite a bit to talk about at Tuesday’s police briefing.
SUSPECT BASICALLY CALLS THE COPS ON HIMSELF
A suspect who tried to act like a victim basically called the Sioux Falls Police on himself.
Authorities say Joshua John Brower, 32, from Sioux Falls, accosted a woman at a convenience store in the 1000 block of North Minnesota Monday evening.
He said a woman pulled a knife on him.
Police say he actually solicited a woman for sex in exchange for food and a place to get out of the rain.
She got scared, pulled a knife, then rode away on her bike.
Brower called the police.
Police talked to the woman then arrested Brower.
ANOTHER CELL PHONE RIPOFF
Sioux Falls Police are investigating another cell phone sales ripoff.
Law enforcement says two men were selling a cell phone.
They met the buyer, who turned out to be the robber, in the parking lot of the McDonald’s on 26th Street.
The robber hit one of the men over the head with a gun, took the phone, and ran off.
Police say they are looking for a heavy black man who is about 5 foot 3 inches tall.
The victim had minor injuries.
Officer Sam Clemens reminds buyers and sellers that the law enforcement center is a secure place to conduct transactions. He also said the vestibule and the parking lot are also available. All the areas have video surveillance, according to Clemens.
MORE SHOTS FIRED

Authorities found three shell casings.
They’ve made no arrests yet.
