Juvenile in custody after phone threats cause shelter in place orders in Tea and Sioux Falls schools

TEA, SD (KELO.com) — A juvenile is in custody in connection with threatening calls that affected the Tea and Sioux Falls School districts.  Tea placed several buildings in lock down after receiving the calls.  Sioux Falls followed suit upon learning the person responsible for the calls in Tea may have been in Sioux Falls.  The Sioux Falls schools affected by the incident sheltered in place for two hours. The buildings were secured and normal operations continued. Because the suspect is a minor, the Tea Police Department isn’t releasing any more information about the incident.
