SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here are the “highlights” of Wednesday’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
AT LEAST HE WAS WELL DRESSED
Sioux Falls Police arrested a man who broke into the Prairie Green Golf Course clubhouse, helped himself to some clothes, then hid in the golf cart garage early Wednesday morning.
Police say an alarm went off, notifying them about the break-in.
There they found Trevor Joel Heintzman, 34, from Sioux Falls, dressed in a new shirt, shorts, and shoes from the clubhouse.
He is charged with third-degree burglary, petty theft, and meth.
There were no damages to the facilities.
NOT FAKE DRUGS BUT FAKED PRESCRIPTIONS
Sioux Falls law enforcement says it’s fairly common for scofflaws to attempt to pass fake prescriptions.
This despite most doctors sending their prescriptions electronically to pharmacies.
Police say someone attempted to pass a fake prescription Tuesday at a Sioux Falls pharmacy.
Officer Sam Clemens says usually it’s someone trying to turn a few pills into a larger number, such as ten into a 100.
He says pharmacists typically catch the altered prescription.
YET STILL AGAIN ANOTHER CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT
It’s been about a week or so since the last report of stolen catalytic converters put Sioux Falls Police did receive one yesterday.
The police didn’t note the circumstances of the theft at the daily briefing Wednesday.
