SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Lane Closure – West 13th Street
Beginning on Monday morning, August 17, 2020, parking on the north and south side of West 13th Street will be closed along with part of the eastbound lane between South Minnesota Avenue and South Dakota Avenue. Two-way traffic will be maintained on the north half of the road.
First Rate Excavate will be installing new utilities and anticipates completion of the project in approximately one week.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closures – Cliff Avenue
Beginning on Monday, August 17, 2020, the southbound lanes of Cliff Avenue will be closed at the bridge over the Big Sioux River south of Interstate 229 to allow crews to perform concrete pavement repairs. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained in the northbound lanes. Once work is complete in the southbound lanes, the work will move to the northbound lanes.
All work is expected to be completed within two weeks with favorable weather conditions.

Street Closure – Dakota Avenue
Beginning on Monday morning, August 17, 2020, Dakota Avenue will be closing between 13th Street and 14th Street. Henry Carlson is staging crane lifts and installing utilities in Dakota Avenue. The work is expected to be done by the evening of Friday, September 4, 2020.
