SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls’ forecast:
Early day showers and isolated thunderstorms will end across parts of southwest Minnesota and northwest Iowa, while areas of fog dissipate slowly in parts of southeast South Dakota.
Daytime humidity levels begin to increase today, but conditions Friday through the weekend will likely feature more oppressive humidity levels, as well as some dangerous heat index values. With this heat and humidity will come the occasional threat for a few thunderstorms, mainly during the night or early morning hours, until a stronger frontal zone on Sunday.
A few storms could be severe, so those with outdoor plans should be sure to pay special attention to the forecast.
