SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Fire in a vacant home in Sioux Falls last night.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire in the 900 block of West 6th Street Thursday evening at 11:40.
The vacant home received minor damage and the fire was brought under control within 11 minutes.
There were no injuries.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: At 11:40 p.m. on Thursday May 21st, 2020, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to the report of a structure fire. Sioux Falls Police were on scene reporting a fire in a vacant home.
The first arriving fire engine reported a fire through the roof on the back side of a story and a half single family home. Crews first knocked down the flames from the exterior of the home and then made entry to extinguish the fire. The entire structure was cleared to confirm no one was home at the time of the fire. There was fire damage to the rear of the home and moderate smoke damage throughout. The fire was brought under control within 11 minutes of the first fire engine arriving on scene. There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by Metro Communications, Sioux Falls Police, PCEMS, and Mid-American energy.
