ST. PAUL, Minn. (KELO.com) — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says cemeteries breed zombie plant species.
The department says seeds from decorative plants put on graves sometimes reproduce.
The resulting plants can be non-native invasive species that crowd out indigenous plants.
Two of the most aggressive offenders are oriental bittersweet and teasels, often used in funeral arrangements.
