SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls’ new community triage center is close to opening and appears to have received a sizable donation.
Mayor Paul TenHaken and representatives from Sanford and Avera are announcing the gift at a press conference at noon Thursday.
The center, called The Link, will be a safe location where people experiencing a nonviolent behavioral health crisis or needing care for substance/alcohol abuse can access immediate treatment and referral to support services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s expected to open by the end of 2020 or very early in 2021.
