SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police are investigating an assault that happened Monday afternoon.
Police responded to call of a disorderly person near East 8th Street and North French Avenue just after 3 Monday afternoon. One suspect was arrested after he assaulted two officers by attempting to grab one of the officer’s firearm and kicking another officer.
A second suspect fled the scene in a vehicle after pointing a gun at a nearby person. Authorities eventually located the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
47-year-old Zachariah Almond is being charged with aggravated assault. 26-year-old Nathan Butler is being charged with aggravated assault on law enforcement, simple assault on law enforcement, obstructing an officer and resisting arrest. Both are Sioux Falls residents.
A stolen firearm was found during the investigation. No officers were injured.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota: At 3:08 pm on Monday August 10th, Officers responded to a report of a disorderly person with a possible weapon near East 8th Street and North French Avenue. Officers arrived and were able to safely detain and arrest one suspect after he assaulted two responding Officers by attempting to grab an Officers firearm and kicking another Officer. A second suspect fled the scene in a vehicle after pointing a firearm at a nearby person. He was later located near East 3rd St. and North Indiana Avenue and taken into custody without incident. A stolen firearm was recovered during the investigation. No Officers were injured.
