Rapid City is Seeing an Increase in Fentanyl Powder

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO.com) – Rapid City law enforcement says there’s an increase in pure fentanyl powder in the region in keeping with national trends.

Pressed pills used to dominate illegal drug trade.

Now state and federal agencies say fentanyl powder seizures have risen by 80-percent.

Overdose reversal drug Narcan is credited with reducing the number of overdose deaths related to fentanyl.
