SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Avera McKennan Hospital officials say a record number of babies were delivered in July.
The hospital welcomed 264 babies last month, breaking the previous record of 230.
The hospital says they delivered eight sets of twins.
July 14th was the hospital’s busiest day with 13 births.
They say the new record is an example of why the hospital needs more space with a new women’s and children’s tower expected to open next year.
