Taylor Winedar
SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — A 30-year old Sioux Falls man is being held on kidnapping and assault charges. Sgt. Aaron Benson says Taylor Winedar is accused of holding a woman captive in an apartment at 12th and Charlotte and assaulting her numerous times – holding her hostage for more than a week. “The victim was held against her will by the suspect in the apartment since July 31st. The suspect had broken the victim’s phone and prevented her from leaving the apartment, as well as strangling her and holding a knife to her throat.”
The woman was finally able to escape the apartment and called police at about 7pm Saturday night. Winedar barricaded himself in the apartment for several hours before surrendering to police.
