PENSACOLA, FL (KELO.com) — He’s the oldest living Medal of Honor recipient. 101-Year old South Dakota native Royce Williams returned to the base where it all began to congratulate some of the Navy’s newest aviators. Williams honored 29 aviators who just graduated from Naval Introductory Flight Evaluation – or NIFE- training at Pensacola. He held off seven Soviet MIG-15s while on a solo mission during the Korean War, saving U-S soldiers in the process. He also fought in the Vietnam war.
