WASHINGTON, DC (KELO.com) — Iowa farm activists are criticizing a settlement between the Justice Department and three egg companies on price collusion. Iowa-based Versova Management Cooperative and companies in Mississippi and Arizona were ordered to pay $1.8-million dollars and donate 53-million eggs. Advocacy group Farm action calls that paltry compared to what inflated prices cost consumers between 2022 and 2025.
