SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota law enforcement is a tight-knit community, and its closeness is paying off in the war against illicit drugs. In the past year, U-S Attorney Ron Parsons says law enforcement has worked together to take down four major drug operations. “We’ve taken them down, and prosecuted, and have secured sentences for 54 defendants across these four conspiracies with more trials and more prison sentences to come. It’s been a united effort. It’s something that we’re going to keep at.” The defendants convicted in the cases are serving decades-long prison terms.
