BROOKINGS, SD (KELO.com) — A 25-year old Sioux Falls man faces several charges following a high-speed chase in the Brookings area. A Brookings County Sheriff’s Deputy tried to pull over a 2020 Ford Mustang east of Brookings. The car took off, and a short time later another deputy clocked the car at 140-mph. Christian Hofer finally stopped at Stadium road on Highway 14 north of SDSU and was arrested. He also faces drug and weapons charges.
