SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls police are investigating an armed robbery at a business near East 10th and Charlotte Avenue. A man pointed a black handgun at a female employee, forcing her to open the register and hand over an undetermined amount of cash. He also took the victim’s cell phone and destroyed a business phone before leaving. The man was described as a having a tan complexion, dark hair, mid 30’s, slender, last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and khaki cargo shorts. He was last believed to be in the area of East 12th Street and South Gardner Avenue after the robbery. Anyone with information about the man are asked to call the SFPD non-emergency number of 605-367-7000, CrimeStoppers at 605-367-7007 or use the P3 app on their mobile device to provide tips directly to the detectives. Residents in the area of this incident are asked to review video surveillance and contact police if they have footage that could help.
