PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — They’re teaming up to help protect the privacy of law enforcement officers. Governor Larry Rhoden and Attorney General Marty Jackley sent guidance to agencies on a new law that allows officers to opt out of sharing personal information publicly. The new law goes into effect July 1st, but agencies must opt in to the program by May 22nd.
