PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Absentee voting is scheduled to begin across South Dakota, but the official ballots haven’t arrived in many cases. Secretary of State Monae Johnson says she’s giving county auditors an option to use sample ballots for people who want to vote before the official ballots are ready. The officials ballots have been delayed because of a short window to certify candidates, handle challenges and print the ballots.
