SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Director Don Kearney will step down at the end of this week, after nearly 21 years of leading the department. Mayor Paul Tenhaken says Kearney built a parks system that’s recognized as one of the best in the country. Among his major accomplishments – initiating the replacement of Frank Olson Pool, the Midco Aquatics Center, Westside Recreation Center, Levitt at the falls and Jacobson Plaza.
