Property tax relief for detached garages passes SD Senate

PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Senate has unanimously approved a property tax break for some homeowners.  The proposal reclassifies detached garages as owner-occupied property, which would save property tax payers hundreds of dollars per year.  The bill now goes to the state House.
