PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Legislators have advanced a plan to demolish part of the women’s state prison in Pierre. The Appropriations Committee has approved spending nearly 700-thousand dollars for the demolition. The demolition has been part of the plan since approval of a new women’s prison in Rapid City.
