SANTA CLARA, CA (KELO.com) — There was a distinct South Dakota flavor to the Super Bowl Sunday night. Ellsworth Air Force made its presence known as two B-1B bombers flew over the stadium prior to the game. One led the flyover formation, flanked by six Navy and Air Force fighters…with the second B-1B bringing up the rear. As for the game, the Seahawks downed the Patriots 29-13.
On the field, Pierre native Grey Zabel made his presence known by winning his first Super Bowl ring during his rookie season in the NFL. Zabel was part of the unit that opened blocking lanes for MVP running back Kenneth Walker, who rushed for 135 yards. Zabel played at North Dakota State before being drafted 18th overall in the 2025 draft.
