PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — A strong Christmas season has officials taking another look at the state budget. Finance and Management Commissioner Jim Terwilliger says sales tax revenues for the holiday period are up by nearly 11-percent over last year. Because of the extra funds, Governor Rhoden says he’s open to changing his proposal to hold spending steady for education, healthcare and state employee salaries.
