SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police are investigating a weekend armed robbery that left a local man with a gun wound. Sergeant Jake Harris says 3 masked individuals believed to be in their teens or early 20’s entered the Food ‘n Fuel store at 9th and Kiwanis at about 9pm Saturday and stole alcohol before running out of the store. An observer followed the trio out the door and began chasing them. As he did, one of the suspects produced a gun and shot him in the ankle. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police are reviewing security footage, looking for clues.
