PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Battle lines are being drawn in the South Dakota legislature over an abortion bill introduced yesterday. It would repeal existing fetal homicide provisions, including protections that mothers obtaining an abortion can not be held criminally liable. Proponents are working to build support for the measure, while the ACLU has issued a statement against it, saying women shouldn’t be criminalized for obtaining an abortion.
