ST. PAUL, MN (KELO.com) — Minnesota officials were grilled Wednesday on a Medicaid fraud scandal that has rocked the state. They appeared before a congressional hearing in Washington, as estimates on the amount of fraud in welfare and childcare programs run as high as 9-billion dollars. There are growing calls for Governor Tim Walz to resign, to which he says, ‘Over my dead body’. In the meantime, thousands of ICE and Homeland security agents have descended on Minnesota, and over a thousand arrests have been made in recent days as a result.
