Minnehaha County (KELO.com) — Minnehaha County’s elected department heads are about to get a significant pay raise. The increases are the end result of a compensation study, even though commissioners strayed from the study’s recommendations in setting the elected department head salaries. Commissioner Jen Bleyenberg believes the higher compensation levels are needed. The commission voted 4-1 in favor of the salary increases. They take effect January 1st.
