Sioux Falls, SD (KELO.com) — Some hopeful signs for the Sioux Falls City budget as we near year-end. Sales tax receipts are still below budget projects but they’re improving. The big news comes from construction. Housing construction is slower than last year, but City Finance Director Shawn Pritchett says commercial building has gone through the roof. Pritchett also told city councilors he’s hopeful the snow removal budget will hold up through the last two weeks of the year, with about 4 and a half million dollars left in that budget line.
