Officials of the Lewis and Clark Regional Water system are working now to meet water needs for the next five decades. Lewis and Clark is a major success story in water development but that didn’t happen overnight. Crews are still building out phase one, to reach 44 million gallons of water per day. Phase two is 60-million gallons per day. Executive Director Troy Larson says he’s working on plans that stretch out to the year 2070. 20 communities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota are connected to the Lewis and Clark system.
