South Dakota has a new Corrections Secretary. Governor Rhoden has announced that Nick Lamb will replace Kellie Wasko, whose resignation was effective yesterday. Lamb comes from the Iowa Department of corrections, where he was Deputy Director, overseeing nine facilities with 85-hundred inmates. Wasko resigned after legislators expressed a lack of confidence in her leadership in the runup to approving construction of a new men’s prison.
