(Pennington Co., SD) — The trial for the man accused of killing former Moody County Chief Deputy Ken Prorok is moved to Pennington County. Joseph Hoek is charged with first degree murder and aggravated alluding. He’s accused of killing Deputy Prorok during a pursuit in February of last year. The state is seeking the death penalty. The trial is scheduled to begin in September of 2026.
