Sioux Falls, SD (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls has had its economic struggles in recent years, but there are signs of a rebound in the making. The city boasts a best-in-the-nation-unemployment rate of 1.7-percent. Sales tax receipts are improving, but still below the level the city used to formulate this year’s budget. Residential construction is 19-percent below last year’s level, but overall construction is up 32-percent. High-dollar projects are creating over 900-million dollars in construction permits so far this year.
