PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — The ACLU is gearing up for legal action against the South Dakota Secretary of State’s office. The office mistakenly revealed information that tied individuals to welfare programs when they registered to vote as they applied for those programs. The Secretary of State removed that data from its website late last week, but the ACLU says the damage has already been done. The ACLU wants those involved to complete legal intake forms.
