MISSION, SD (KELO.com) — Their families are living in fear. Rosebud Sioux Tribal leaders recently declared a state of emergency over rising crime and drug problems. Now, parents are raising their voices. Dakota News Now reports parents saying they’re doing all they can to keep their families safe, but violence, drugs and fear are constant. The Tribe will hold public hearings on proposed new laws this Friday afternoon.
