MITCHELL, SD (KELO.com) — Local South Dakota libraries are thriving, despite state and federal budget cuts. State legislators softened the blow at the state level, but still cut some state funding. At the same time, librarians in Redfield and Mitchell tell South Dakota News Watch that they’re seeing growth in visitors and material lending. They say they’ll adapt as much as possible, and provide reading education for children and as many services as possible.
