RAPID CITY, SD (KELO.com) — A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order, blocking the Department of Homeland Security from removing a foreign grad student at South Dakota School of Mines. The student sued Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem after the student’s student visa was revoked. Her lawyer said the revocation was blocking her graduation as a Ph.D. in chemical and biological engineering. The school disputed that, saying she’d be allowed to graduate if she had not been deported prior to graduation on May 10th.
