SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The Project Prison Reset task force of legislators and state officials is in fact-gathering mode. They began the first of four meetings on prison needs this morning with tours of prison facilities in Sioux Falls, and a proposed prison site in Lincoln County. Today’s activities were for task force members only for security reasons. Thursday afternoon, the group will receive public testimony on potential prison construction in meetings at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance on Russell Street.
