FLANDREAU, SD (KELO.com) — The trial date for the man accused of killing Moody County Chief Deputy Ken Prorok in a high-speed chase last February, has been pushed back. Joseph Hoek’s first-degree murder trial, originally set for May, has been pushed to October. Hoek’s attorney requested the delay to conduct more psychiatric evaluation and to possibly seek a potential insanity plea. Hoek faces the death penalty if he’s convicted.
