PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — A bill that would banish daylight saving time in South Dakota won’t see the light of day. Supporters cited sleep patterns and driver safety as some of the reasons to lock in standard time. Opponents say the lost hour of daylight in the afternoon would affect kids’ sports and farming. The bill died in committee on an eight to one vote.
