PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Governor Larry Rhoden is moving fast on providing property tax relief. He was flanked by legislators and staff members at a news conference this morning. They were part of the work group that is introducing a plan to cap property tax increases on owner/occupied homes.
The Governor says the proposal will cap owner/occupied property tax assessment increases at three-percent for the next five years. The bill will start in the State Senate.
