PIERRE, SD (KELO.com) — Two medical debt bills in Pierre today, and two different outcomes. Republican Representative Brian Mulder of Sioux Falls sponsored both, testifying of how his family struggled with medical debt for his newborn child.
That bill passed on to the House floor. The other bill, to limit when medical bills can be handed over to collection agencies, failed.
