Former state employee pleads guilty to fraud charges

BROOKINGS, SD (KELO.com) — Another former state employee pleads guilty in a fraud case. 28-year old Amalia Barrientos of Brookings was given a 180 day suspended jail sentence, a 400-dollar fine and ordered to pay restitution of about 450-dollars. She admitted to using a Department of Social Services grocery voucher for personal use.
