SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Good news on the mosquito front as we head into summer. Even though it’s been a wet spring, the number of mosquitoes caught in city traps in Sioux Falls is down from past years. City Environmental Health Manager Dominic Miller says that’s a great sign.
Even better, Miller says daily tests on trapped mosquitoes haven’t found any of the pesky bugs carrying the West Nile virus. So far, the state hasn’t reported any West Nile cases.
