SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — A South Dakota Penitentiary inmate is guilty of threatening a correctional officer. Attorney General Marty Jackley says 31-year old Roland Miner was also convicted this week of possessing a weapon in the prison. The convictions are related to an incident that took place in the prison in November of 2022. Miner faces up to 25 more years in prison on the new convictions. He is already serving two sentences out of Minnehaha County for one count of Intentional Damage to Property and one count of Simple Assault on Law Enforcement.
