SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The 2024 election is less than a year away, and things are beginning to heat up on abortion. Ohio voters approved a measure Tuesday that’s similar to one that’s expected to be on South Dakota’s ballot next year. Rick Weiland, director of “South Dakotans 4 Health” believes it’s part of a pattern he believes will be repeated in South Dakota.
State Representative Jon Hansen of Life Defense Fund, says South Dakota is not Ohio, and believes the South Dakota proposal will fail because of some of its provisions.
Petition signatures are still being gathered to put the measure on the ballot.
