WASHINGTON, DC (KELO.com) — They say an agreement is needed this weekend, or the U-S could start defaulting on its debt. Until the last few days, the Biden Administration has refused to negotiate, saying it wants a clean bill to raise the debt ceiling. Positions appear to be softening on both sides, and Senator John Thune says a deal will have to include some budget cuts in order to survive.
House Republicans say they need an agreement this weekend in order to have enough time to run anything through Congress.
