SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls School District is making good progress on hiring the teachers it needs for the upcoming school year. Many openings have been filled, as existing teachers make decisions about returning to the classroom in the fall. Teachers received their contract offers last week and have just over a week to decide whether to accept the offers. District Human Resources Director Becky Dorman says the focus in coming weeks will be hiring substitute teachers that will be needed.
Dorman says the District will need more than 200 substitute teachers for the 2023/24 school year.
